2007 is made up of the sensitive, intuitive 2; two revealing and emphatic 0s, and the introspective, intellectual 7.
2007 is a 9 global year. (2+0+0+7 = 9). This combination intensifies everything on an emotional level, and has an important impact on the future -- by taking us back to areas of the past where we did not learn what was meant to be learned, so that we can free ourselves from what is preventing us from moving forward now.
9 is the number of endings, dramatic situations and drama itself, extremes, emotional expression, diversity, sympathy, compassion, humanitarianism, philanthropy, tolerance, acceptance, letting go, learning to live and let live, seeking roads to peace (not war), survival, creative impulse, and evolution.
The 9 vibration encourages us to accept ourselves as we are, and become confident enough to let down our guard in relation to image, status, and materiality. 9 reveals our individual “smallness” in the grand scheme of the human journey, but also stresses the importance of upholding individuality as the basis of life’s amazing diversity. 9 gives us depth and perspective, without which we can never gain true understanding.
2 emphasizes the feminine aspects of life and is also emotional in nature. 7 emphasizes the masculine aspects and is mental in nature. The two zeros tend to amplify everything, including the differences or ‘gaps’ that have developed between individuals, between men and women, parents and children, rich and poor, creeds, cultures, skin colors, and in the fabric of humanity as a whole. These numbers will show us just how great those gaps have become, and can help us to devise ways to bridge and heal them, if we are interested in doing so.
9 is the number of endings and, in our present position, signifies more than just the end of an era - it signifies the end of an entire rung on the evolutionary ladder. Until we understand, deep in our hearts, what is happening and, most importantly, what we want to happen, we will continue living in this unnatural and uncomfortable way - on the edge.
“THE EDGE” appears to be a place where all the extremes of the 1000s, (symbolized by the number 1), have come to the surface and are fighting each other for control of life itself. “When elephants fight”, an old African saying goes, “it is the grass that suffers”, and we are the grass whether we want to see ourselves that way or not! The extremes have been closing in on us so slowly and stealthily over the course of generations that most people still don’t realize what’s happening.
Denial - our tendency to run away from or ignore anything we do not like or understand, is the principle cause of this precarious situation. However, the sense of danger emitted and received from “the edge” is so emotionally jarring that it is becoming impossible to disregard, and we are realizing that our tendency to ignore - our own ignorance - is a major part of the problem.
And yet we continue to reject our feelings because, in many cases, they feel SO bad! That is because the emotions we must heal FIRST, are old ones that have accumulated over the course of a lifetime - the ones our denials have shoved deep inside us to shut them up - or projected onto others so that we would not have to own or take responsibility for them. New situations, both personal and global, are constantly arising in an effort to make us feel, and therefore heal, that old (and often sick) emotional energy so that we can feel well and comfortable again. The turmoil the world is caught up in cannot stop until we understand this. Only then can our emotions become the source of love and creativity they are meant to be, instead of something to be dreaded and avoided.
As our emotional healing continues to unfold, there will be a point at which we are going to have to make a leap of faith and embrace the emotional 2 energy of the new millennium - feminine energy - or we will not make it. We are starting that process now, and the purpose of 9 is to give us the understanding to help us make it to the next level. 9 is an amazingly versatile energy. It paves the way for our individual and collective evolutionary leaps - spirals of progress that jump out of the long and tedious “learning curves” of life, by providing the exact lessons we need in order to move ahead.
Things will become as unstable and insecure on Earth as it takes for people to accept that they cannot accept what is happening. The faster we are able to face reality, no matter how it makes us feel, the faster we will be able to release ourselves from the “edge” and move to a more balanced and peaceful existence.
2007 is a year of coming out of denial (unconsciousness), waking up to reality, dispensing with pettiness, setting new priorities, re-connecting, and finding common ground. When 2 and 7 combine, there is often a surreal element on the loose, and it is difficult to know what might happen from one moment to the next. Therefore, one thing we will need a lot more of this year is spontaneity - the ability to make decisions and act as a situation unfolds, rather than follow some preconceived plan. We could experience situations this year for which plans were never made and which will force us to use our instincts to a greater extent than we are accustomed to.
We will be able to feel things on a much deeper level in 2007. With the masculine and feminine balance that is found in the 2/7 combination, it does seem that our masculine minds are going to be more accepting of what our feminine feelings have to offer - real intelligence that originates from within, rather than the dubious information that has, forever, been fed to us by others.

The combination of 2 and 7 also places an emphasis on accountability, and how all of us have a problem when it comes to admitting to mistakes, and with allowing dogma to prevent further understanding. It will be in our best interests to actually seek out our own areas of stubbornness, and accept the fact that we are all still learning the ropes of life and living.
Meanwhile, we need only look out onto the world stage and see ourselves in the mirror of life, as the ‘lead’ players insist on doing things their way, and as they continue to push ahead - in the wrong direction - just because they cannot bring themselves to believe - or even say - “I was wrong about that”. If we are to evolve to the next stage of understanding, surely we are all going to have to believe, and say, “I was wrong” about a whole host of things, otherwise we would have already reached our highest potential. Clearly, not only do we have a long way to go, but we really haven’t grown much at all since we began. We are STILL at war with our selves.
2007 will make us more alert than usual, more eager to see things as they really are, and will help bring us out of the state of denial we have been in for ever. Our desire to understand reality is becoming greater than our fear of facing it and, especially our fear of being afraid. It seems that it’s not “fear itself” we need to fear, but our fear of fear itself. Denied fear eventually results in our becoming ’frozen’ in fear, paralyzing our ability to think for ourselves and make decisions that are right for us.
What we do need to fear is the nature of the system itself - this heartless, feelingless industrial system whose goal is to control everything on Earth, and beyond, so that it may capitalize on it for its own gain. There comes a point in the evolution of capitalism at which it must have total control over the masses - you and me - which is slavery. And, as we are now realizing, slavery did not die. Necessity really is the mother of invention, because the system found a way to change the ‘form’ of slavery so that the slaves (us) did not realize they were enslaved. Slavery was not abolished. It was cleverly expanded.
Everything has been ‘industrialized’. Everything. Medicine and healing. Education. Science and knowledge. The water without which we cannot live. Ocean and river life. The animals. The forests. The fields. The soil. The mountains. The sky. Space. Birth. Death. Industry even owns our DNA which is actually of very limited potential since our imprinting cannot help but be altered by our evolutionary nature. As Timothy Leary wrote: "The Mission of DNA is to evolve nervous systems capable of decrypting the mission of DNA."
Here is an example of something we should fear. Antidepressants. The pharmaceutical companies knew many years ago that these drugs are actually depressants and cause people to kill themselves. They work by cutting us off from our emotions at the brain level, in the inane belief that if you can’t feel anything, you can’t feel sad. The truth is that if you can’t feel anything, you cannot feel love, you cannot feel hope, you cannot feel a sense of purpose, you cannot feel a sense of danger, you cannot feel any reason to live, and you cannot imagine what it would FEEL like to throw your life away, or what it would feel like to lose someone you love to a drug induced suicide.
And to think we are actually drugging - zombifying - our children in order to instill somebody else’s idea of “good behavior”! A school nurse recently told me that she has no problem with dispensing these pills because, “the benefits outweigh the side-effects.” NO THEY DON’T! Not for any possible reason you can come up with, including the great scapegoat ‘chemical imbalance’ which, when it exists, is an effect of something else, not the cause of the problem. Pharmaceutical poisons are stealing the minds of an estimated 10 million American children, and 30 million American adults - by deadening their feelings.
Why has it taken so long for anger and outrage to surface over the dreadful and worsening state of affairs the Bush administration has ‘led’ not just America but the whole world into? Could it be that one in every ten Americans are taking so called antidepressants - or some other numbing drug - and actually don’t care what’s happening? Of course, this does not apply only to Americans. Antidepressants - and other forms of denial pills - are a global menace. It is not only money that the drug companies have at stake here. Their role is also to keep the Will of humanity subdued, numb, and dumb. Killing the feminine side of our nature, our feelings, is the only way to keep the old system going. This, along with many other aspects of this deceiving system, must first be feared - in order to be stopped.
9 is the number of expanded awareness - the seeing of a much larger picture - and, as we continue to learn what needs to be feared and what does not, (the above example was only a drop in the bucket), the general effect will be more soothing and healing than we may have imagined, even though the chaos will continue, and fear will be triggered, for a long time to come. So, in the words of Anthony Robbins, (and I know I use this quote a LOT), “Let fear be a counselor, not a jailor.”
When we are able to treat fear as the natural radar device it is meant to be, something that alerts us to possible danger, we will be able to let go of pettiness, including that enormous pseudo-fear that keeps so many of us going around in unproductive circles. It is the fear of how we are perceived by others, which is actually a form of shame or unworthiness, neither of which are emotions, but judgments devised by the system to keep us chained to it.

The 9 energy suggests that the Will Of The People will be put to the test this year because the will of the people is the POWER - of the people which, when it understands its potential, is the only thing that can change the course of the evolutionary human journey.
We must wake up to our own senses, our own intelligence. Most people already sense that something is terribly wrong, but this year we must take our senses to the next stage, which is KNOWING - not because someone else told us what is going on, but because we can feel it and understand it for ourselves. Once we realize the potential power of our emotional energy, a power we have been reluctant to access because the system taught us that emotions denote weakness, life will become an easier experience, because the more we allow ourselves to feel our true feelings, the more whole we become - and the more experienced and capable we become at keeping ourselves balanced in reality.
We are evolving rapidly as our masculine consciousness and feminine feelings start to notice each other’s value and accept each other as equals. What an exciting time to be alive. But, of course, as the old slave-like system collapses but struggles to survive, it is also a highly volatile, dangerous and emotional time which can effect any of us, personally, at any given moment.

Just a few short years ago many of us believed the world was our oyster, that we were traveling the highway of dreams, and that we could do “anything” we put our minds to. In many ways, we were not just asleep. We were unconscious. Now, we are awakening from the dream to find that it was actually denial, and that while we were sleeping, a nightmare was forming all around us. The more we awaken, the more apparent it is that humanity is now moving through its own chaos - the chaos of many lifetimes - and we are seeing and experiencing things so horrible that our first reaction is to embrace distractions just so we won’t have to look at this stuff. “Besides”, we tell ourselves, “there’s nothing I can do about it anyway.”
Facing reality is a frightening and exhausting endeavor. However, we can release much tension and pressure by accepting that we cannot possibly know or prepare for everything in advance. In order to become the inventive (creative) beings we are meant to be, we must find the courage to let go of certain restraints that we used to see as safeguards. Authentic free will enables us to survive, and thrive, on a sensory, intuitive, and spontaneous basis, and 9 will help us regain our deadened senses if we will just do our part and allow ourselves to feel them fully again. And while we continue to create whatever we put our minds to, we must remember that a mind without the warmth of feminine energy, is very cold indeed.
9 is the number of LETTING GO - an essential evolutionary act which will help to ease this violent transition between the aggressive 1000s and the nurturing 2000s. The merging of millennia is no minor event in humanity’s journey to freedom. It involves the major shaking up of energies, feelings, positions, points of view, denial, and reality itself. Peace will eventually occur. But when? How long will it take? Who knows? Probably for as long as it takes us to locate, feel, accept and heal all the backed up emotional havoc within us, and develop the courage to let go of it - without hurting ourselves or anyone else in the process.
None of us are separate from what is going on in the world. Everything we do contributes to reality in some way, and we must therefore find the courage to express our feelings about the very system which mocks our emotions and labels them ‘unacceptable’. 9 is the number of emotional expression, and it is unlikely that our feelings can be held back this year. The OUTRAGE has been building and outgrowing the fear. The next stage is release - OUTCRY.
This is a time in which LOVE can be born into the chaos, for the purpose of soothing, healing, and calming the chaos down. We are unlikely to reach a position of calm for many years to come, but what we can learn from the 9 energy can certainly take us out of denial and help us to take the right roads and approaches towards eventual peace. The potential is enormous.
2007 is the end of an era in the human journey - a major turning point at which indifference or paralysis can only take us further into a world of war, cruelty, slavery, environmental disintegration, and chaos. “Stay the course” has been its rallying cry. However, this does not apply only to the chaos in the world at large. No matter where we live, we must recognize instances in our own personal lives where we are stubbornly refusing to change direction. Then, we can move with 9’s evolutionary spirals, away from the old aggressive and selfish ways, to the next stage of our journey, which seems to be learning how to make peace with our enemies. But, as always, this must start with the war going on inside each one of us - the sexual war between our masculine minds and our feminine emotions. It always comes back to that.
2 is the number of DIPLOMACY and PEACE MAKING, which is very different from the “spin” and peace-keeping we have come to expect. Peace cannot be “kept”. Keeping something implies that it is being held by force rather than allowed to flow naturally. Peaceful intent really is the issue here. And, again, while all this is so obviously playing out on the world stage, we must be able to recognize the extent to which similar ‘power’ situations are occurring in our own lives.
Diplomacy is not diplomacy if all sides of the story are not being considered with a desire for fairness. Everyone involved must be prepared to make concessions and, in the end, needs to feel satisfied with the decisions made, otherwise the situation cannot ‘heal’, and peace can never blossom. We have yet to see the result of true diplomacy at work in this world. Leaders have seldom had the good of the whole in mind. It was always a power play of one kind or another. The leaders involved have rarely suffered. The people have. Deep feelings have been triggered over many generations, and are boiling over uncontrollably now.
Achieving authentic Free Will is essential to our survival. There will be many attempts to take yours away from you, and mine from me. So, while we wend our way through this awesome sea of diversity which is the number 9, use your instincts, use your feelings, use your mind, and your body, to find ways to hold on to whatever is left of your freedom to exist as you please.
Humanity is not all there is to life, but we are a major part of life nonetheless. Therefore, the freer we are to be who we are, to exist as we want to, and be where we want to be, the more easily and peacefully life can flow. But this level of freedom is so feared by those who are afraid of losing what they have, and those who want to be in control of everything, that fear has reached its highest peak in that regard - sheer terror. And there can be no greater terror than war because of its scale and scope.
The term “war on terror” makes no sense because war IS terror! And, you cannot go to war with an emotion, not from a military standpoint anyway. Those who have led this effort are, and I believe we will see evidence of this soon, the most frightened people on Earth. Bullies always are. They want to eliminate fear because they believe that they themselves are in danger of being consumed by it. Instead of ‘owning’ and taking responsibility for their own feelings, they use fear in any way they can to control everything around them.
9 encourages us to seek authentic freedom which, of course, cannot be defined by anyone but the individual involved. Actually, ALL the numbers are encouraging us to seek freedom and, as 9 contains all of the numbers, a great push for freedom is likely during this 9 year. What that entails, I have no way of knowing, but individual Wills, all over the world, are healing now, and although there is a long way to go before humanity’s collective Will is strong again, already people are starting to redefine the meaning of success. We are likely to see some reversals in that regard. Some classic ‘success stories’ may take a turn for the worse this year.
Surely, success is a matter of being able to live your life exactly as YOU want to live it. And yet, if our quest for freedom curtails someone else’s, how can either of us be free? Quite a conundrum! How on Earth can we achieve true freedom, since there will always be someone or something standing in our way? That is one of the burning questions that 9 can help us answer as the year unfolds, if we will only allow the emotional movement necessary for us to ask the right questions, and to accurately understand the answers as they occur to us. Although inspiration is all around us this year, it is unlikely that your answers are going to come from anyone else but you. Real IN-sight comes from within.
The answers we need in 2007 are lost in the past, and we need to go BACK in order to learn what is stopping us from going forward, individually and collectively. 9 is the number of cause and effect and, in order to understand reality as it is now, the chaos must be looked into very deeply until the patterns can be detected, and the dots can be connected.
We are all looking for our true homes in this world - and we need to find them - because nothing is more freeing to our souls than the feeling of belonging, and of knowing that we are exactly where we are meant to be. Of course, achieving this could be the work of a life time, who can tell? But, in 2007, at least the concept of such freedom is likely to dawn on a lot of people who, previously, were unable to see beyond the accepted norms. People really are waking up. But it’s a slow and often painful process.
It will be hard to keep up with everything that is going on in 2007, and there may be long moments when we believe we cannot get through whatever is happening. But the 9 global year evokes bravery and, with all the fear-mongering that has been forced upon humanity in recent years, we could all use some 9 courage to help us face uncertainty with inventiveness, rather than hopelessness, and love, rather than indifference. We are potentially much stronger and capable than we have allowed ourselves to realize! The numbers 2, 7 and 9 share a very important characteristic. They are all seeking TRUTH. So, be prepared to be deeply enlightened this year!
9 provides encouragement and the strength and foresight to persevere. It achieves this by showing us how things could be if this happens, or that happens, or if this or that were no longer happening. 9 has a tendency to mirror the principles of cause and effect into our everyday lives, as well as into events taking place on the world stage - the big mirror itself.

As the old system continues to break down, and its controllers fight for its survival, we are bound to see and experience things that we would never wish for and, at those times, we must remember that 9 urges us to LET GO, which is perhaps the hardest part of CHANGE. However, letting go is also the emotional effort, the drive forward, which enables us to utilize 9’s spiraling action that takes us to the next evolutionary position.
Being afraid to let go is a large part of what is keeping the old system in place, and there is logic to that fear since we have no idea what life on Earth would be like if we did not have this old and flawed system to cling to. Having nothing to hold on to is one of our biggest fears, terrors actually. Obviously, we must learn to hold ourselves up by the strength of our own WILL. We must learn to become more independent, no matter what our circumstances happen to be. That’s a tall order considering we have been living in a system whose very survival depends upon our being dependent on it. Consequently, over many generations, we were fed a lot of misinformation and untruths in order to keep us propping the system up. The system defined who we are as individuals, and our very concept of individual power was sucked, automatically, into the unfeeling, uncaring machinery of what we believed was simply ‘life’.
How can we be free when we allow others to set the rules and pace of our existence? How can we be free if we are dependent on and answerable to those few we call ‘the powers that be’. How can we be free when the ‘powers that be’ are not held accountable for anything? How can we be free when our lives are tracked, and decisions are made for us, from the moment we are born to the day we die?
The old system is collapsing, but we must remember that there are many things worth preserving. The new is trying to form, and the denials of the past must not be allowed to contaminate it. It should also be remembered that just as it is counterproductive to argue with someone who is drunk, it is also pointless, and potentially harmful, to try to reason with a mad man (or woman).
Our challenges are many this year. We must develop greater acceptance and compassion for other people and living beings. We must simultaneously survive the endings and help shape the new beginnings based on the new understandings that the endings teach us. And we must be able to admit our mistakes in the first place. All of this is being reflected back to us in the events taking place globally, but it is we individuals who can change the script by deepening our understanding of cause and effect, and honestly expressing whatever feelings arise. Of course, helping to shape the future is the exciting part of all this… the part that inspires and enlightens…. the part that enables us to keep going.
If a country values anything more than freedom, it will
lose its freedom, and the irony of that is that if it is
comfort or money that it values more, it will lose that too.

The global events triggering our emotions this year are likely to have a ‘shocking’ effect since the 9 energy tends towards unforeseen situations. The United States with its July 4th birthday, is in a 2 National Year: 7+4+2+0+0+7= 20. 2+0 = 2. This suggests that its influence in the world will be slowed down unless it is used to enable the wellbeing and growth of other people and countries. That seems unlikely as things stand. Both George Bush and Dick Cheney are in the 4 Personal Year, suggesting that they will be restricted and boxed-in by circumstances beyond their control. That may sound like good news to some, but it can also be said that desperate people do desperate things!
The People’s Republic Of China was established on September 21, 1949, placing it in a 3 National Year now: 9+2+1+2+0+0+7 = 21. 2+1 =3. The 3 year is usually one of growing ambition and putting ideas into action.
With its May 14th birthday, Israel is in a 1 national year (5+1+4+2+0+0+7 = 19. 1+9 = 10. 1+0 = 1. This indicates change on a very large scale and, because the number 19 is involved, a time of karmic adjustment is likely in that country. Although Israel follows its own calendar, the Gregorian (western) calendar is likely to have influence here because of its widespread use in business and politics.
It is difficult to know which ‘birth’ date to apply to Iraq. See Wikipedia history of Iraq. I cannot even begin to speculate!
The United Kingdom Of Great Britain was formed May 1st, 1707. This puts the U.K. in a 6 national year during 2007, which emphasizes its extremes so that balance can be found. Domestic and family matters may loom large, along with issues of health, education and public institutions in general. 6 is the number of family, and I have a feeling that the royal family will be deeply affected by this. Additionally, on the world stage, Britain’s role as ‘neighbor’ is highlighted.
There is nothing predictable about the various national years as they run through the volatile 9 global year, but from a broad point of view, events everywhere are likely to range from ongoing and escalating violence and force, to great acts of kindness and courage; from the wonders and the spasms of nature, to the magical and often bizarre antics of humans, animals, and machinery; from despair to hope; from paralyzing fear to enthusiastic action. We will be dealing with such extremes all year, and these triggers can help us locate those old backed-up (and often bitter) emotions that have accumulated over the course of lifetimes and which, in most cases, are near bursting-point.
We have already seen some uncontrollable bursts of old emotion coming out of the likes of actors Mel Gibson and Michael Richards. What we were seeing there was not the ugliness of feminine energy, but of what happens to feminine energy when it is held back and denied what it needs more than anything else - expression. We are likely to see more of this during the emotional 9 global year, and since we all suppress our feelings to a huge extent, and store them in what Jung called the ‘unconscious’, we will possibly do some ‘blurting’ of our own. But while these old denied emotions must come to the surface and released if they are to be healed, they can also be dangerous if there is no love in the intent of the individual involved. The golden rules of 9 are:
It is important that we do not allow other people’s emotional expression to become a form of entertainment but, rather, see it as the evolutionary throe that it is, and look for that very same denied sentiment within ourselves. Healing cannot take place in an atmosphere of blame, guilt, contempt or mockery. Besides, we each need to focus more on our own feelings than those of other people. Waking up is hard to do when it comes to being honest about what is actually buried deep inside, but did we really believe that humanity’s evolution was going to be easy?
9 takes us back into the past, not only to understand and rectify mistakes, but also to find and heal parts of ourselves (physical, mental and emotional) which were discarded, injured, forgotten, trapped or held captive along the way. Without those essential parts, we cannot be whole. In the 9 energy, for as long as we remain in denial of reality (past and present), and how it is making us feel, events will continue to intensify and trigger our feelings until further denial becomes impossible.
Thankfully, 9 has a tendency to stir the compassion in our hearts. One of 9’s main functions is to teach us about the power and purpose of our feminine feelings, and that there is no feeling greater or more essential than LOVE. In 2007, we are likely to see a massive call for peace, love and understanding, as well as renewed efforts to uphold human, animal and environmental rights. 9 may well be the number of dramatic and even traumatic events, but it is also the number of kindness, humanitarianism and selflessness.

The last 9 global year we experienced was in 1998. 2007 is the first 9 global year of the new millennium - the only 9 global year we have ever experienced which does not contain the number 1. However, before we can understand the true nature of the number 2, which is the predominant number of the 2000s, we must revisit the number 1, the symbol of the old system, in order to learn what we did not learn from it.
1 is the number of THE INDIVIDUAL, SELF-AWARENESS, CHANGE, INVENTIVENESS, ORIGINALITY, LEADERSHIP, INDEPENDENCE, OWNERSHIP, SPEED, and PROGRESS. We did not gain full understanding of those things during the 1000s, but this year’s 9 energy is giving us a chance to do so now, especially in January - the 1st month (1), October, the 10th month, (1+0 = 1), and November, the 11th month which is made up of two 1s, and symbolizes the transition from 1 to 2 (1+1 = 2) -- a combination of “I think therefore I am” and “I feel therefore I think.”
Since the beginning of the new millennium, our spiritual energy, symbolized by the number 1, has taken quite a jolt as it learns that it is NOT ALONE, that peaceful CO-existence with other parts of ourselves is necessary. Spirit (consciousness) is learning that ‘being #1’ (winning and ruling) is NOT the most important thing in life. Ego, (our sense of self), is in the process of balancing which, in turn, is triggering emotions even in people who previously appeared to be “unemotional”.
Spirit is learning to accept parts of itself that it has always tried to ignore. Spirit is growing, evolving, becoming whole - and the growing pains are real and intense! Spirit IS number 1, and number 1 will always lead because it is the first number. But in this interim decade of the double zeros, it must learn HOW to lead. Until it does, leadership, as we know it, can offer very little guidance or security. It is through the number 1 that humanity is learning that leading by force, manipulation, or the elimination of what we do not like or understand, simply doesn’t work and never did. #1 is also learning to appreciate the diverse contributions and cultures of others and that, in most instances, more can be achieved by a team or group than by one individual alone.
Although 1 is the number of LEADERSHIP, it is something we learned very little about over the past thousand years. We are learning now that leadership is not a matter of enabling a few to have control over the many. That is not leadership. That is follow-ship. True leadership is a matter of being able to LEAD oneself in a state of Free Will, to make decisions which ORIGINATE from the individual and enabling others to do the same. Yes, there is a role for government in the 2000s - which is to maintain the balance of life (fairness and equality), so that ever expanding openness can provide the basis for freedom.
Something else we need to notice about #1 energy, is that leadership does not have to involve leading other people at all. It can also mean setting new directions, opening up new paths, and carving out new niches in the great diversity of life - in healing for instance, philanthropy, politics, spirituality, music, writing, and all the creative fields. #1 is, after all, the number of the PIONEER. It is the number of PROGRESS and INNOVATION and provides us with the potential to take ANYTHING to the next level. Although 2007 is likely to be one of the most intensely emotional years we have ever experienced, there is also much opportunity for significant ADVANCEMENT in just about any area we feel confident enough to venture further into. Emotions - to sense and to feel - are the very fuel of creativity.
One of the greatest difficulties for unevolved 1 energy within the individual is accepting that it is not always ‘right’. Masculine #1 finds it very hard to admit mistakes or even ask for directions. After all, he is supposed to be leading, right? Perhaps he would be seen as weak if he stopped to ask the way from people who know the terrain, find his bearings, and change course if necessary. It sometimes seems that unevolved masculine energy would rather die - or kill - than admit it got something wrong, or that it doesn’t understand something that it thinks it should. Of course, this characteristic does not only apply to the males of our species. We are ALL made up of masculine (intellectual/spiritual) energy, AND feminine (emotional/will) energy, which all resides within the physical energy we call the BODY.

1 is the number of ego and, although we need this sense of self to know who we are and why we are here, ego does need to regain its balance right now because far too much emphasis was placed on the importance of “ME”, without the balance that comes from our relationship to others. This applies to all of us, and entails that point of balance between ego which is arrogantly over-inflated, and that which is dismally deflated.
It is interesting to note that denied emotions related to ego often become painfully trapped in our knees, and that the manufacturers of artificial knees are now advertising their product to the general public. The balancing of ego means that our sense of self must allow us to BE who we really are - how can we know who we are if we don’t know how we feel?
Be aware of your body’s reactions to this year’s intense inner movement. For instance, when we want to deny the feelings of grief and sadness, and our fear of those feelings, we shove them into our lungs and respiratory system where they languish away and become toxic. Before long, we cannot breathe. If you find yourself involuntarily gasping any time this year, remind yourself of the need to heal your buried feminine energy.
The next time you have a hacking cough, consider that it could actually be some old grief or sadness that is so desperate to do what it needs to do - move, flow, and express itself - that it is now, literally, trying to hack its way out of your body. In an effort to heal itself, the physical body ‘speaks’ to us in such ways and, as humanity’s denial continues to be dismantled by 9’s EXPANDED AWARENESS, we will find these mind-body-emotion ‘connections’ much easier to read, act upon, and heal.
This is all part of 9s ‘undoing’ of the old programming of a self-consuming system which actually refers to us as ‘consumers’, rather than people. Some beliefs are so deeply ingrained that it may seem impossible to release ourselves from those painful knots which keep us tied to the system, and which we have become ‘used’ to, and numb to. We are afraid that undoing the knot would be more painful than just leaving it as it is. The hanging of Saddam Hussein, a brutal public execution, vividly symbolized the knot and, simultaneously, triggered feelings that many people had never felt before. But there are other ominous symbols of the system which we ascribe to without even realizing it. The tie for instance. That masculine ‘fashion statement’ we call the neck tie. If ever there was a symbol of being tied to the system, it is that.
The healing art of massage may become more popular than ever this year as we realize that those ‘knots’ in our physical bodies are actually manifestations of denied emotions and old programming which are trying to surface and escape from the body’s confines. Massage can open the knots, but only the individual can accept the memories that float out of those openings, or experience the emotions that those memories trigger without cutting off from them again.
If you are able to treat yourself to a massage, ask your therapist to spend a little extra time on those knees of yours. And if you do not have that opportunity, ask a friend or lover to do so, or massage them yourself. Give your SELF permission to relax. Accept reality and take things less personally. We all have expectations of ourselves, and others, which have been defined by judgments that were programmed into us by a system which is now imploding as a result of its own misjudgments.
I do not owe you anything. And you do not owe me anything. 9 is the number of GIVING, and it teaches us to give because we want to, and not because guilt or blame (judgment) has prodded us into doing so. And there is so much more to “giving” than is generally realized. For instance, authentic relaxation is not something you create. It is something you give yourself to.
The giving of our SELVES can be a difficult lesson to learn because we first need to understand why it is necessary to do that. It is the lesson of SERVICE, without which there can never be peace because cooperation between people would be missing. Part of achieving peace is to USE your knowledge, talent, skill, or gift - and we’ve all been blessed with a specific asset - for the purpose of opening space to such an extent that peace can spread.
None of us can honestly say that we live in a permanently peaceful state. At this point in evolution, that would be a very conspicuous use of denial. If you had evolved any further than this, you would not be reading this material. You’d be having a very different experience than the one you’re having. By trying to avoid stress in stressful situations, we create more stress because the key to dealing with stress is to let it move through you and out of you.
Stress is not caused by your emotions, but by the resistance you put up against feeling them. Stress is often called the ‘silent’ killer since it is at the root of most of our illnesses. Perhaps, then, if we were not so silent about how we feel, and let those feelings move and express themselves in the way they need to, stress could become what it is meant to be - a warning from the body that such movement is necessary.
We need to BE who we really are instead of the ‘label’ that the system, or we ourselves, have concocted. That is an important part of freeing our feminine energy. When it is free, and when it has healed, the Will will no longer be subjected to the terror and pain it is currently experiencing. Peace among humans cannot form unless humanity’s WILL is free. And, since humanity is made up of individuals, that applies to every single one of us. And for as long as we remain in the extremes of the double zeros, we can be sure that there are many who do not desire peace at all.

Life’s massive network of CONNECTIONS is what makes us ONE, and 9 points out the amazing diversity of humanity, both individually and as a whole. We cannot discard the individual just because we are moving from the 1 to the 2; from the “I AM” to the “WE ARE”. On the contrary: only the acceptance of individuality can bring about peace. Humanity is at war with itself because we are unable to accept our diverse nature. By accepting ourselves first, and loving ourselves for who we are, can we ever hope to accept and love others. The whole may be one, but it is comprised of the many.
As we travel through the 9 energy of 2007, which itself is traveling through the millennial 2 energy, we are likely to understand the concept of CONNECTION on a much deeper level. Perhaps that is because we will be experiencing the phenomenon of connection first-hand this year. This year’s numerological mix will show us how we are, individually, connected to the larger picture which, in itself, is likely to trigger many emotions - which will help us to bring evolutionary ideas out of the ‘concept’ stage and into reality!
I myself am realizing just how great the connection is between numerology and mathematics, and that for as long as these two branches of number-theory ‘stay the course’, each rejecting what the other has to offer, humanity’s progress will come to a standstill since numbers are the very basis of knowledge. The various theories of numbers must CONNECT in order to reach their true potential. The same can be said on a broader scale about the fields of physics and metaphysics, and so many other areas of understanding that are reluctant to share what they know. Knowledge cannot expand if we do not increase our capacity to receive it! That means not just knowing what we got wrong, or where we were limiting our understanding, but of consciously looking for those areas.

At the end of the 1000s, we raced towards the 2000s believing the biggest problem we could face, and which we abbreviated to the term Y2K, was that all the computers would crash because no one had thought ahead as to the difference a change in the dates would make - dates we had abbreviated to exclude the first 2 digits.
At the time, I thought this would be a chance to explain how important it is, numerologically speaking, to NEVER abbreviate numbers like this. However, since nothing untoward happened, I decided not to use that example. What I did not see was the significance of the term Y2K which, in retrospect, appears to have warned us of something else entirely.
Y is the 25th letter of the alphabet. In numerology, Y becomes 7…… 2 + 5 = 7. Add the 2, and you have 9. K is the 11th letter of the alphabet. And so, Y2K was spelling out 9 /11, but nobody noticed and, even if we did, we could not possibly have known what it meant. And then, when 9/11 arrived, who can forget the slew of instances in which the number 11 seemed to spring up from nowhere, the most visible of all being the very shape of the Twin Towers.
One might say that 9/11 being found within the term Y2K is irrelevant, and I thought so myself for quite a while. But there is something else that has been happening for many years to which this seems to be connected. It is the fact that people all over the world are “seeing” numbers, especially the number 11. They look at a clock, and the time happens to be 11:11, or 1:11; or those numbers appear on receipts, documents, or in other ways.
This is a widespread phenomenon which spans the entire planet. Websites have sprung up which are dedicated to 11:11 and its possible meaning. 11 is not the only number involved, but it is the most common. I believe this is happening because our emotional energy is taking our consciousness deeper into reality, and we are starting to see - with our own eyes - beyond the material illusions of the system. After embracing the physical as reality for so long, we are starting to SEE the metaphysical - (meta means ‘beyond’) - and what better time for this to happen than in what we ourselves have termed the ‘digital’ age. Digits are numbers, after all.
Understandably, people want to know what these numbers mean, but that may not be possible until we first accept that numbers, if only we could understand them more fully, are the basis of learning anything at all. 11, as far as I can see, is a point of evolution at which 1 reflects upon itself and becomes 2. “I Am” becomes “We Are”.
Also, as far as I can see, there are 4 individual parts to life and, indeed, living beings: the physical, the mental, the emotional, and the love which creates balance between those 3 parts. Most of us have been living 2 dimensionally in whatever combination seemed easiest to sustain, instead of the 4 part harmony which is our potential. Perhaps 11:11 is showing us the key to our higher selves - something for us to aspire to. But I think more time has to pass before we understand why - exactly - we are seeing these particular numbers. I think that will come at a point of evolution that we have not yet encountered, but I also feel that this point is not far away.

The MIND has resisted FEELINGS for so long that feeling anything at all has become painful or frightening for most people - rather like the return of sensation to a part of the body that had gone numb. Denial is a cunning captor, and waking up to reality really is hard to do, especially when we realize that the numbing and dumbing-down process has enabled flawed intelligence, stupidity and therefore cruelty, to rise to the very top of the ‘power’ chain. And each one of us is connected to this state of affairs more personally than we would like to believe.
Without our emotional feminine energy, there can be no intelligence. Despite the effectiveness of the dumbing-down process, our survival instinct, our most primitive and essential emotion, (situated in the base chakra in the color red), has enabled us to expand our minds, (rather than lose our minds), through its tendency to sense danger and express both fear and anger. We can now see through the smoke and mirrors of the system, and realize that those who are leading us are more numb and dumb than we ourselves could ever be.
It is this ability to FEEL, SENSE and INTUIT (feminine magnetic energy) that is keeping our electrical, masculine minds open. And all of that is going on within our physical bodies. Contrary to some beliefs, the body is NOT just a worthless shell to be discarded at death. With such an unloving attitude towards our bodies, no wonder we get sick and die before our time! Now, just as we hear that cloned meat is making its way into the food chain, and as we realize the extent to which we have been poisoning our bodies with stuff that the system has told us is ‘food’, or ‘medicine’, our knowledge of proper nutrition is likely to increase significantly in 2007, along with a greater appreciation for just how important our physiology really is, and how the balance between mind and emotion must include the body in a threefold union. From this perfect balance in 3, the fourth dimension is born - unconditional love - a part of which is free will.
We are also recognizing that we are living in belief systems, not freedom. Even the word ‘democracy’ has been misunderstood for freedom. Democracy is a system of voting, that’s all. It’s not that there is anything wrong with democracy when it is practiced with freedom as its basis, but there is also a tendency for any dogma to claim to be the only way to go. No matter what belief system we happen to be tied to, it is important to see how it is being spun and given truthiness (thank you Stephen Colbert) on the world stage.
In the 1000s, emotions were regarded as human weakness. In the 2000s, we are learning that they are part of our natural power as individuals. For as long as they are subdued and vilified, we cannot be free, nor can we ever achieve peace. War is a reflection of the inner battles we have all been fighting in an effort to stop ourselves from experiencing authentic freedom. Without our feelings to help us sense and ‘know’ the futility of this, we will lack the strength and intelligence to change it.

It does appear that 2007 will be a difficult year for humanity in general, no matter where we happen to be located on the planet, and even if we feel that we are exactly where we are meant to be. In fact, the very condition of the planet may be the source of much of the difficulty. Mother nature does reflect feminine energy and the more she is mistreated and subdued, the more likely she is to go into survival mode in an effort to ‘shake off’ whatever she feels is killing her.
And, of course, we cannot escape from the atrocities of war by denying our involvement. If we use electricity or petroleum in our every day lives, and we all do, then we are involved in today’s wars because control of those things is why they are being fought in the first place, no matter how the ‘powers that be’ try to spin it! We must, individually and collectively, FIND OUR WAY to a more peaceful existence - a quest which is most unlikely to involve those who are currently in positions of so-called leadership.
The diverse, compassionate and broadminded 9 energy can help us get there by responding to our genuine desire for peace. True desire is, indeed, a powerful feeling. It is creative fuel. Therefore, knowing what we truly desire is paramount. The only way to know that is to FEEL it. And, for as long as we do not allow ourselves to go that deeply into our feelings, all we can create is more chaos.
2007 offers clarity - GREAT clarity - by revealing the extent of the chaos we are already in, and sharpening our instincts so that we can see the mistaken patterns and programming that caused it. A deeper understanding of cause and effect is this year’s theme - this year’s therapy - this year’s gift.

SOME INTERESTING FACTS ABOUT THE NUMBER 9
Numerology is based on the numbers 0 to 9. Although there are such things as ‘master numbers’ and other numerological formations, it is those basic numbers which provide the most efficient form of interpretation. Each number has its own vibration and its own set of distinct characteristics. However, none of them function quite like the number 9 because, to begin with, 9 is the sum total of all the other numbers.
Add together the numbers from 1 to 8. (1 + 2 + 3 + 4 + 5 + 6 + 7 + 8). The answer is 36. Add the 3 and 6 together, and you have 9. Add 9 to 9 and you have 18. Add the 1 and 8 together, and you're back to 9. When you add 9 to any number, you will always arrive back at the original number.
Multiply 9 by 9, the answer is 81. And, of course, 8 + 1 = 9.
And, when you multiply 9 ones by 9 ones. (111,111,111 x 111,111,111), you get:

Everyone can gain additional insight from studying or meditating on those numbers, not just those who are experiencing the 11:11 phenomenon mentioned earlier.
9 is the only number that works in such mysterious ways. 9 is the number of diversity and, just as 9 contains the energies of all the other numbers, 2007 is likely to be extremely diverse, intense, and phenomenal.
Since 9 contains the characteristics of all the other numbers, it is helpful to know the main traits of each number:
1 is the number of independence, individuality, self awareness, attainment, ownership, change, leadership, progress, innovation, and speed. 1 is the number of the spirit and is masculine in nature. 1 must learn to be less self-centered and accept that others ‘matter’ as much as it does. The color most associated with 1 is RED.
2 is the number of sensitivity, intuition, deep emotion, patience, cooperation, equality, group effort, partnership, relationship, diplomacy, peacemaking, slowness, and details. 2 is the number of the will and is feminine in nature. 2 must learn to be less ‘thin skinned’, and stop relating everything to itself and taking everything so personally. The color most associated with 2 is ORANGE.
3 represents the ‘child’ of Father 1 and Mother 2 and is often child-like in nature. 3 acts as the glue - or love - which keeps 1 and 2 together. It is the number of communication, performance, creativity, the arts, beauty, innocence, and the pursuit of happiness. It is seeking balance between masculine and feminine, but without understanding its role, it can seem as if it is constantly seeking acceptance. 3 must learn to take itself seriously without becoming self-absorbed, and to understand that it is allowed to relax, and it does not have to be ‘on stage’ all the time. The color most associated with 3 is YELLOW.
4 is the number of limitation, restriction, hard work, recognition, effort, reward, craftsmanship, detail, organization, courage, determination, being unable to move forward until necessary change is made, and of breakthrough. 4 must learn to enjoy the lighter side of life and avoid getting lost in too much detail. 4 must also learn to accept other ways of doing things besides its own. The color most associated with 4 is GREEN.
5 is the number of adventure, the unusual, the unexpected, coping with sudden change, diversity, choice, different cultures, gambling (taking chances), learning from mistakes, expanding openness, mystique, the physical body, sexuality, and the quest for freedom. 5 must learn to exist on a less stable playing field than most others, rely more confidently on its instincts, and be prepared to take calculated risks when opportunity arises. 6 is the number of extremes, balance, paradox, responsibility, family, the home, community, institutions, healing, education, justice and rules. 6 has a tendency to want to control and must learn that balance cannot be kept in place by force. Balance involves ongoing shifts and adjustments based on fairness and equality which occur naturally in freedom but, since authentic freedom does not exist at this stage of our evolution, a balance needs to be found in the level of control exerted. The color most associated with 6 is ROYAL BLUE.
7 is the number of wisdom, spirituality, knowledge, learning, analysis, enlightenment, inner development, dignity, and the search for perfection. There is often an element of superiority attached to this number which comes from 7’s tendency to find flaws and which, at times, really needs to be put in perspective. Fear and even paranoia can arise out of this vibration because of its terror of being seen as anything but perfect. 7 must learn that, in this evolving creation we call life, acceptance of imperfection IS as close to perfection as we can currently be. 8 is the number of power and success in the material and financial realms. It prefers conservative approaches and is very protective of its assets and its reputation. 8 desires the feeling of personal satisfaction. The tendency for manipulation, greed and bullying is strong, but when true love is allowed in, 8 finds its greatest satisfaction there. 8 needs to utilize its impressive strength to help balance life’s abundance with others instead of trying to gain everything for itself. In doing so, it will never go without. More than anything, 8 provides opportunity to gain personal power through correct understanding and authentic balance. The color most associated with 8 is PINK.
9 is the number of diversity, dramatic situations, endings, completions, giving, dealing with loss, letting go (especially of what has already gone), emotional expression, sympathy, compassion, generosity, love, tolerance, acceptance, creativity, global awareness, evolution, and seeking the road to peace. 9 must learn to keep itself together by only giving what it can afford to give. 9 must learn to be more patient with those who do not live up to its high ideals, and remember that each number (person) is evolving at their own pace, in their own way, and in their own time. The color most associated with 9 is GOLD. (It will be interesting to see whether the gold market itself will be effected by 2007’s 9 global energy).
