WEEK 19 RUNS FROM MONDAY, MAY 6, TO SUNDAY, MAY 12.
NOTE 1: WEEK 19 is the final week of a 7-week cycle in which all the Week Numbers are karmic TEEN NUMBERS. Since this cycle began in WEEK 13, on March 25, there has been a strong focus on teens and young people in general, and a global resurgence of student activism.
WEEK 19 is a 1 WEEK (1+9=1+0=1), and while 1 (the number of SELF) drives us forward, 9 (the number of COMPLETION) pulls us back to unresolved matters of the past. So, back and forth we go – unable to make real headway until we truly understand what our past experiences actually were – and the effect they are having in present time.
WEEK 19 makes us realize just how much we have to learn about HOW we arrived at where we are now. Current events are conspicuously linked to what occurred in the 1900s, and 1919 and 1991 in particular.
In MAY 1919, the 19th AMENDMENT of the United States Constitution was passed, effectively recognizing the right of women to vote (although it was not certified until 1920). And yet now, 104 years later, women’s fundamental rights are being removed and restricted, and discrimination and violence against women continues.
In 1919, Mussolini coined the phrase FASCISM to describe his authoritarian ideology. And here it is again, dragging us down, in the 2020s.
In 1919, in the USA, an outbreak of racial massacres occurred against prosperous black communities, in Tulsa, Washington DC, and several other cities across the country. This continued into the 1920s. These events did get some news coverage last year, but it is amazing how many people had no idea that it ever happened.
In 1919, the Jallianwala Bagh Massacre occurred in India by British colonists, using Gurkha, Baloch, Rajput, and Sikh troops. Yes, Indian soldiers were deployed to kill their own people.
In 1919, the Republic of Ireland was born, while Northern Ireland, (Ulster), remained under Colonial British control. And more recently, knowing only too well the devastating generational pain of colonialism, Ireland has been one of the loudest voices in support of Palestine.
In 1919, the Russian Civil War was already underway, and resulted in the Russian occupation of many surrounding countries. It renamed itself the Union of Soviet Socialist Republics – or USSR. Ukraine was declared part of the USSR in 1919. This reversed itself in 1991 with the collapse of the USSR and its return to the name RUSSIA. Russia attacked Ukraine again in 2014, and again in 2022 … and the war continues.
It was in the early 1900s that colonial Britain “gave” Palestine to European Zionists, and on 14 May, 1948, Israel was born. Its 76th anniversary is next week in Week 20. 76 = karmic 13, and of course karmic 14 is prominent, too. In 2024, Israel is in a 9 National Year, the number of endings and completion.
Present realities are always the result of past actions. But DENIAL – the absence of truth – the rewriting of history – creates a karmic wheel on which the same old problems repeat and repeat, until the truth finally breaks through and exposes the root cause of the effect. In this age of transparency, history is indeed repeating itself all over the world, but this time around, the truth IS pushing through.
It has often been said that “the young will save us”, but that is not fair. The young are the future trying to form, and their responsibility is to save themselves. It is up to “us”, (whoever “us” may be), to join forces with them and assist in whatever way possible. This starts with appreciating just how aware, awake, and alive this generation is – and also how aware, awake, and alive previous generations (“us”) were, when we were teens and young adults. Of course, there are exceptions – as there are in all generations – including young people who have been damaged by the old system, and while some may never recover, others can heal and grow.
The anti-Vietnam War protests in the USA were most instrumental in bringing an end to that brutal war. And the anti-apartheid protests against the white colonial government of South Africa, was fueled by dedicated people of all ages everywhere! Global protests against the killing of George Floyd shed much light on police brutality against people of color. The Black Lives Matter movement spread globally, and George Floyd’s killer was imprisoned. Young people in Iran rose up against the fearsome oppression they suffered there (especially women), and are still protesting in whatever way they can.
Right now, much of the mainstream press has failed miserably in their coverage of the genocide occurring in Gaza, and of the Zionist intent to expand further into neighboring Arab states. In fact, the press has used the protests to distract from what the protests are actually about. I have been studying this never-ending barbarity for decades, and it is plain to see that this precise piece of land – Palestine under Zionist control – since the early 1900s – is not only harming Judaism, perhaps irreparably, but Israel is also the most volatile flash point, or tinderbox, on the planet.
19 shows us the consequences of out-of-balance EGO – and the results of IMPATIENCE and SELFISHNESS. The EGO is our sense of SELF, without which, we cannot know who we are. We are faced with a great imbalance between inflated egos and their feelings of superiority and indifference to the suffering of others – and egos that are deflated with feelings of inadequacy, self-devaluation, and the belief that nothing will ever change (so why even try?) This puts humanity in a lose/lose situation. But this insanity, (lack of rationality), is peaking now, which is an opportunity for positive evolutional change by rescuing what the system has taken from us – our WILL – our ability to feel and sense – and to understand that major improvement cannot occur until we are emotionally driven to make the necessary changes. “If you don’t say it’s wrong, that say’s that it’s right”, sang Solomon Burke in his classic song, “None of us are free”.
Without a fully functioning WILL, lack of emotion keeps the mind closed. Fear of fear drains the imagination so that we cannot envision anything different to what we’ve already had or currently have. 1 represents ORIGINALITY. So, as we continue to move from the 1000s to the 2000s, we cannot allow lack of imagination to be humanity’s final downfall.
1 is the number of CHANGE – and 2 represents CHOICE. Our WILL (our feminine energy) is the natural balance that this misogynistic “man’s world” of the 1000s most needs at this time (and which is why the very real war on women has gone to even greater extremes just lately.
May is the 5th month, and May in an 8 Global Year (2+0+2+4=8), is a karmic 13/4 month (5+8=13/4). We are moving through a segment of time which is not only subject to unexpected developments, but is also filled with essential lessons from the past which will restrict us until they are learned.
This is a time of preparation. A time for GETTING READY. For what? For the effects created by past decisions and actions. We may not know precisely what changes lie ahead, but we do know that life on Earth has already changed, and there is no going back to what we once considered “normal”. Karmic 19 exposes humanity’s LACK OF POWER, which is triggering emotions that have been suppressed for years, lifetimes, and generations.
1 = SELF, and 9 = LOVE. Therefore, SELF LOVE is a major aspect of what 19 has to teach. It teaches us that when we truly love ourselves, we do not become more selfish – we become more loving.
